MikroCRP plasmaverdier hos kliniske friske, voksne personer (148 menn og 179 kvinner) i alder 20 – 72 år er log-
normalfordelt. Ingen signifikant forskjell på mikroCRP-verdier hos menn og kvinner. Både BMI (body mass index)
og røyking fører til signifikant økning på mikroCRP-verdien (p<0,001). Når man korrigerer for dette, har ikke
alder signifikant effekt (p>0,5). Referanseintervallet er 0,1 – 3,9 mg/L (2,5 og 97,5 percentiler) med medianverdi
0,6 mg/L.
