Klinisk Biokemi i Norden
congress participants. When composing the scien-
tific programme we look into nanotechnologies,
large scale genetics and the integration of “omics”.
All this must rest on a solid base of good profes-
sional practice of routine clinical laboratory work
and it also involve leading clinical experts.
We integrate users and industry by the exhi-
bition and satellite symposia. In addition to the
sharing of Nordic knowledge, we look forward to
bringing in experts from the Baltic area, Russia
and beyond the Atlantic to tell us about their
experience and vision.
Presently the preparations for the meeting
(June 14th-18th, Helsinki Fair Center) are at their
peak. The scientific programme is being finalised,
companies decide on their participation and the
networks of background support are woven by the
organisation committee. It is very hard work but it
is also very interesting. Staying awake long hours
with the practicalities is easy, since we strongly
believe that we can provide added value to con-
gress participants by allowing them to meet each
other and reflect their professional activities to the
best global practice.

Den här årets ”Helenekurs” håller på att börja på
Östersjön då jag skriver detta kolumn. Vi stöder
också starkt kursen i vetenskaplig kommunikation
arrangerat av SJCLI som tar plats i januari – febru-
ari 2008 som nyligen annonserats. I augusti 2007
publicerades i CCLM nya rekommendationer från
IFCC gällande glykohemoglobinanalyser och snart
är det dags att besluta om det skulle vara skäl att
åtgärda detta på nordisk nivå. Metrologiska sidan
av klinisk biokemi är också fortfarande med i bil-
den och mätosäkerhetsprojektena pågår på olika
håll med stöd från NFKK.
Det har skett vissa förändringar i NFKKs nordis-
ka medlemorganisationer: flera föreningar har nya
styrelsemedlemmar och norska kolleger har bytt
namn på sitt organisation. Besök NFKK:s hemsida

Norsk Selskap
for Medisinsk Biokjemi
Generalforsamlingen i Norsk Selskap for
Klinisk Kjemi og Klinisk Fysiologi (NSKKKF)
har vedtaget at ændre navnet på selskabet til
Norsk Selskap for Medisinsk Biokjemi (NSMB).
Det engelske navn bliver The Norwegian
Society of Medical Biochemistry.
