B. Turbid control T. Upper, local calibrator. Lower,
The Nordie Protein Calibrator.
Further, the difference between measure–
ments of control T and control A disclose the
sensitivity for turbidity in samples.
TROUBLE-SHOOTING
Based on the combined evaluations, informa–
tions about calibrators and methods are given to
theparticipants-and in addition the individu–
al results are commented with advices for chan–
ges in performance and troubleshooting. Be–
side, the individual informations about results,
a more general information on interpretation of
statistkal and graphical presentations is pro–
vided with examples (blue folders).

Same results as in B, but separated into analyti–

Discussion
Ca-ordination between groups invalved in (i)
goal setting, (ii) standardization and improve–
ment of procedures, and (iii) quality control is
scanty. Firstly, because they are different indivi–
duals with scientific objectives focusing on dif–
ferent aspects of the problem. Secondly, be–
cause a general strategy for the use of the clini–
cal chemical quantities has not been outlined
with the consequences for all three elements of
analytkal quality.
In the present project on plasma proteins, the
strategy has been establishment of common re–
ference intervals, but clinical strategies can easi–
ly be used in the process. A considerable work is
done in the Nordkem-project on quality specifi–
cations (9) but, the theoretical work must be
applied in the Nordie countries, both on stan–
dardization and problem-related contra! ac–
cording to the quality specifications, if the
intentions from the project shall be fulfilled .
