Konklusion
Der er for nuværende kun to af de testede assays,
som er standardiserede i henhold til VDSP 8 år efter
programmets start. Dette har potentielt store kli-
niske såvel som samfundsmæssige konsekvenser, og
en fortsat standardisering er derfor ønskeligt. Trods
klare råd til, hvorledes vitamin Dmangel undgås ved
indtagelse af sufficient mængde vitamin D via kosten
og kosttilskud, foretages der fortsat mange, forment-
lig overflødige, målinger af vitamin D, muligvis som
resultat af det stigende fokus på vitamin D i kosten.
Der bør derfor i fremtiden være mere fokus på at måle
vitamin D status, ikke hos raske medborgere, som i
forvejen har fokus på indtagelse af sufficient mængde
vitamin D, men derimod hos de patienter, hvor der
reelt er en indikation for måling af vitaminet. Indtil
standardisering er opnået, bør det endvidere anbefa-
les, at patienterne følges med målinger på det samme
udstyr over tid.
