Trondheim is a regional center for culture and commerce, but
still not bigger than you can walk across the city center in 15
minutes, if you don't get hung up in one of the many restau-
rants and bars located at almost any street in the
inner city. Many restaurants have a strong focus on local
food, and the small city has two Michelin starred restaurants.
The congress motto is
Bridging science and clinical
care
and
it summarizes the scientific ambition of the congress. We want
to present state of the art, recent scientific achievements and
future perspectives in the field of clinical chemistry. We want to
focus on aspects that are likely to have impact on clinical deci-
sion making and patient care, now or in the near future.
The scientific program will have 15 parallel sessions. Some of the topics are:
• endocrinology
• hematology
• hemostasis
• troponins
• neurology
• new technologies
• genetics
• proteomics
• point-of-care testing
• inborn errors of metabolism
• trace elements
• environmental toxins
