Oslo City Hall
Oslo City Hall is the city’s administrative body and
the seat of the City Council. It is centrally located by
the sea. The Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony also takes
place here in December each year.
The City Hall was built 1931 – 1950. The paintings
in the main hall are inspired by the period before and
after the SecondWorldWar, as well as the development
of new and modern ways of living. Every hour different
pieces of music are played from the bell tower.
As a part of the opening ceremony a reception will
be held in the Oslo City Hall.
