The ASTRUP prize 2002
The board of the Poul Astrup Foundation, in coopera–
tian with the Danish Society for Clinical Chemistry,
arranges a prize competition to reward contemporary
Nordie research work related to the field of clinical
chemistry. The competition takes place every seeond
year in connectionwith the Nordie Congress in Clinical
Chemistry.
Researchers or research groups in Seandinavia are
requested to submit anonymously an abstract of a recent
scientific work with a maximum length of l ,000 words
and not more than two illustrations. The work must not
have been published before in its present form.
Abstracts and a letter stating the name of the author(s),
which must be received by February 15, 2002 at the
latest, should be addressed to:

Approximately on April l, 2002 a Nordie prize committee will select up to five of the sub–
mitted contributions, to be presented by the authors at the XXVIII Nordie Congress in Clinical
Chemistry, Reykjavik, lceland, August 10-13, 2002. The speakers will be reimbursed for alle
expences related to congress participation, travelling (within Scandinavia), and accomodation.
Research groups are, therefore, kindly requested to name one representative of the group to
/
present the group's work. The individual presentations should not exceed twenty minutesand
will be followed by a free
disc~ssion.
The five works presented are planned to be published as a summplement to The Scandina–
vian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation.
Based on the scientific value of the paper, and the quality of its oral presentation, the prize
committee will awaid a first prize of DKK 60,000, a seeond prize of DKK 25,000; the other
three works will be awarded DKK 5,000 each.
