about the election of the EFLM executive Board and the
transparency of EFLM. It was proposed that the elec-
tion of the executive board would follow the original
proposal according to the document sent on May 12
th
and that after the election the EFLM executive board
would make sure that bylaws and legal procedures
would become in harmony with Belgian jurisdiction.
The change of the agenda for the elections of the
EFLM executive board and the Nordic protest and pro-
posal was thoroughly discussed on the EFLM general
meeting in Paris, June 21st. During the discussion the
current president announced that he would resign from
his position so that a new president could be elected at
the general meeting that is planned to be held inMarch
2016. The proposal of the executive board to reelect
and extend the mandate of the current president, the
vice or coming president, the outgoing president, the
secretary and the treasurer was put to vote and was
accepted by the majority of votes. All Nordic repre-
sentatives, and some other national representatives,
abstained from voting.
The consequences of this chain of events remain to
be seen. In a letter dated June 26
th
, the current pre-
sident of EFLM confirmed his plans to resign at the
coming general meeting in March 2016 and we expect
that the presently elected coming president, Mr. Sverre
Sandberg, will succeed him. However, it is likely that
the coming president may need to be reelected at the
general meeting in March 2016 and the election and
candidature for the next coming president is in jeo-
pardy. We understand but regret the withdrawal of the
candidature of Mr. Elvar Theodorsson.
