effects of blood plasma, which is an advantage
when these effects are under surveillance :

CHEK-STIX®
POSITIVE and "CHEK-STIX®
COMBO are intemal controls with printed control
ranges. Theuseofurinalysiscontrols are increasing,
and it is an easy way to detect malfunction of stix,
analysers or the way the test is performed.
Bayer recommends stix to betestedwith both the
negative and positive control, in order to detect
both false negative and false positive results.
Recommended testing intervals will be once a box
of stix is first taken in use or once a week and
whenever the qua! ity of results are in doubt.
CHEK-STIX® POSITIVE
is a control which
will cause Bayer [AMES] stix to give abnorma!
elevated results on all 10 tests available. Control
ranges for all

tests are printed in the product
insert.The testcomesasadry format stripcontaining
25 controls in each box. Each control can easily be
dissolved in destilled water, and the final solution
can be used for testing several times.
CHEK-STIX®COMBO
contains box with 25
CHEK-STIX® POSITIVE as weil as a box of 25
CHEK- STIX® NEGATIVE. CHEK-STIX
NEGATIVE is dissolved the same way as the
positive control, and Bayer stix used on the final
solution will yield negative or normal results.
