Friday, Farewell to Finse
Before the early departure to Oslo and later Bergen
groups planned how to complete the manuscript
with the participants back in their daily routines far
away from each other and away from the quiet sur-
roundings in Finse. None of the groups had a finished
manuscript at this time, but plans were made in and
between groups as well as between the group lead-
ers and Holger Jon Møller, who became the senior
responsible for combining the three manuscripts
into one.
The Arctic Experience 2014 …
was a course with a high scientific and social out-
put. The organization of the course with a few, short
lectures and the rest of the time working in groups
worked well since time was the major challenge of the
course. All the teachers, as well as participants, were
open-minded, inspiring and hard working. Every
one made their best in getting this course to become
a success. Despite different educational backgrounds
of the participants every one could and did contribute
with their knowledge.
On behalf of all the participants we would like to
thank especially Tor-Arne for arranging such a suc-
cessful course but also the rest of the members of the
teaching staff for their contribution to the plenum
discussions and lectures. Thanks to Anders Kallner
for giving us his new book: Laboratory Statistics
Handbook of Formulas and Terms.
