Congress Banquet
The congress banquet will take place in an old brick
building beautifully situated at Akerselva river next
to a powerful waterfall. The building was once a
spinning mill with 150 workers and some of the old
machinery is still there.
Nordiska mötet i Oslo närmar sig! NFKK:s styrelse
har sitt möte i Oslo. Redaktionen för KBN har haft
möte i mars. Vem som får Eldjarn-priset har disku-
terats och priskommitteén för Astrup-priset har varit
aktiv. Jag vet ingenting om detaljerna i priskommit-
téenas aktiviteter men kvaliteten på de vetenskapliga
insatserna lär vara hög. Vi har intressanta dagar fram-
för oss i Oslo.
NFKK har följt aktiviteten kring HbA1c. Det blev
ganska tidigt klart att en nordisk rekommendation
inte kan åstadkommas men det är intressant nog att
följa utvecklingen i grannländerna. I Finland har alla
de största laboratorierna bytt till dubbelrapportering
med gamla och nya enheter. Kalibration till IFCC
referens har inte tagit plats i alla finländska laborato-
rier. SFKK:s rekommendation för praktiska åtgärder
vid ny HbA1c finns på SFKK:s hemsida och är värd
att studeras också i andra nordiska länder.

latest at the congress venue.

Nowadays the place is hired by “Wallmans
salonger” with their well known mixture of restaurant
and entertainment. During the evening we will enjoy
a spectacular cabaret and a delicious dinner, served at
the tables by the artists themselves. In addition there
will be speeches, presentation of the winners of the
Poul Astrup prize and the Lorenz Eldjarn prize and
dancing into the bright summer night.
