Klinisk Biokemi i Norden
The XXX Nordic Congress in Clinical Chemistry
June 14-17 2006, Copenhagen, Denmark
Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the Scandinavian
Society for Clinical Chemistry
(NFKK) and the Danish Society
for Clinical Biochemistry (DSKB),
it is our sincere hope that you will
help us organise the XXX Nordic
Congress in Clinical Chemistry in
Copenhagen in 2006. Therefore,
we now invite you to nominate chairpersons and
topics for symposia and how-to-sessions as well
as speakers for plenary sessions (and you may also
nominate yourself for either of these functions):
Symposia:
For chairpersons we encourage nomination of seni-
or as well as young and promising scientists, from
throughout Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Finland and
Denmark. Candidates should be willing to organise
the entire symposium together with a co-chairper-
son, and should currently be publishing in compe-
titive journals. We prefer that the two chairpersons
in a given symposium should be from two different
Nordic countries.
Topics should be on basic or clinical research
of relevance for clinical biochemistry, including
chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, use of
diagnostic tests and clinical medicine, and be a
”hot“ issue in 2006.
How-to-sessions:
For chairpersons we encourage nomination of
persons with great clinical, clinical biochemical
and scientific insight in the topic, from throughout
Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
Candidates should be willing to organise the entire
session together with a co-chairperson.
Topics should be on difficult or controversial
areas in the measurement, quality control and/or use
of any current or future clinical biochemical test,
including chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biol-
ogy, use of diagnostic tests and clinical medicine.
Plenary Sessions:
Selection of presenters is based on: 1) Scientific
quality and novelty. 2) Ability to communicate to
an audience. A short introductory review of the
topic is allowed; however, the main part of the talk
should include data new to Clinical Biochemistry.
Please make sure that the proposed person accepts
the nomination.
Topics should be on basic or clinical research
of relevance for clinical biochemistry, including
chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, use of
diagnostic tests and clinical medicine, and be a
”hot“ issue in 2006.
Based on these nominations, the scientific com-
mittee will make a final selection. We have plans
for 15 Symposia, 6 How-to-sessions and 6 plenary
lectures.
Please send nominations to all 4 of us (using forms
found on our website (www.nfkk2006.ics.dk) prefe-
rably via e-mail) as soon as possible and no later
than August 15, 2005.
Best regards and many thanks for your help.
