The board of the Poul Astrup Foundation, in cooperation with the
DanishSociety for Clinical Chemistry, arranges a prize competition
to reward contemporary Nordie research work related to the field
ofclinical chemistry.Thecompetition takesplaceeveryseeondyear
in connectionwith the NordieCongress of Clinical Chemistry.
Researchers or research groups in Seandinavia are requested to
submit anonymously an abstract of a recent scientific work with a
maximum lengthof

The workmust not have been published before in its present form.

2000, a Nordie prize committeewill select
up to five of the submitted contributions, to be presented by the
outhors at the 27th Nordie Congress of Clinical Chemistry, Bergen,
Norway, June 5-9, 2000. The speakers will be reimbursed for all ex–
penses related to congress participation, travell ing (within
Scandinavia), and accommodation. Research groups are, there–
fore, kindly requested to name one representative of the group to
present thegroup'swork. The individual presentation shouldnot ex–
ceed twentyminutesandwill be followed by a free discussion.
The fiveworkspresentedareplanned tobepublished asa supple–
ment to
The Scandinavian Journal ofClinical and Loborotory ln–
vestigation.
Based on the scientific value of the poper, and the quality of its
oral presentation, the prize committee will award a first prize of
DKK 60,000.00, a seeond prize of DKK 25,000.00; the other three
workswill be awarded DKK5,000.00 each.
