• Biomarkers and cancer
• Novel aspects of laboratory education
• Why are there so few new biomarkers?
• Emerging sensor technologies in laboratory
medicine
The program will as usual contain symposia for the
Astrup and Eldjarn Prizes. Posters will be on dis-
play close to the seminar rooms in the congress hall
throughout the meeting and will be highlighted in
guided poster walks. To further inspire the submis-
sion of posters the Scientific Committee will award
generous poster prizes in numerous categories.
The meeting will also entail company sponsored
lunch seminars and breakfast seminars. A newspa-
per in your smartphone covering the meeting high-
lights, interviews of participants and speakers will
be published daily.
The members of the organizing committee are
planning a spectacular gala dinner with the theme
“Glitter & Glamour” at one of the nice restaurants
located close to the congress hall. Be there or be
square! In addition, City of Göteborg and the Region
of Västra Götaland will host a welcome reception on
the opening day.
Göteborg, Sweden’s second largest city, is located
on the west coast and in the early fall the weather
is usually at its prime. The short distance to the sea
results in top-quality fresh fish and seafood and
possibilities to experience both river-ferries to view
the city from the water and the nearby archipelago
just outside the coastline. For more information on
Göteborg, the official visitor’s guide provides good
guidance
Information on the congress will continuously be
posted on the website
as it deve-
lops. Here you also can see photos of the scientific
committee, deadlines for abstract submissions and
registration as well as a clock running backwards
showing the time left to the meeting. In addition
I will post updated newsletters of how the arrang-
ements proceeds.
