Let allergy testing be part of your
Immunoassay main-stream testing

gAllergy® provides laboratories with a fully automated solution for better diagnosis of allergic
diseases, while improving workflow and reliability of testing. IMMULITE® allergen-specific IgE
assays are based on a patented, liquid-allergen technology.
Siemens proprietary liquid allergens are the key
to making IMMULITE® Immunoassay allergy
tests sensitive, specific, and reliable. The soluble
polymer support for the allergens increases the
number of binding sites and their accessibility
to allergen-specific IgE antibodies. Analytical
evaluations and clinical comparison studies
1,2
confirm the reliable performance of the assay
system and the utility of 3gAllergy® for specific
IgE determinations in the routine laboratory
setting.
3
gAllergy assays are FDA-cleared for quantita-
tive results and calibrators are standardized
against the WHO 2nd International Reference
Preparation (IRP)75/502, a coded sample of
human serum total IgE.
The quantitative measurement of specific
IgG antibodies may serve as a monitoring
tool for the evaluation of immunological
responses during immuno-therapy

The comprehensive 3gAllergy® menu covers
more than 400 allergens, 55 panels and a
growing number of molecular allergens.
With the introduction of molecular allergens the
laboratory can provide physicians with additional
information such as risk assessment and cross-
reactivity patterns and thereby improving allergy
diagnosis. Information obtained from analyzing
molecular allergens also aids the physician in
deciding on allergen specific immunotherapy.
All allergens on the 3gAllergy® menu, including
the molecular allergens, can be assayed for
specific IgG or IgG4 in addition to the routine
testing of specific IgE.
Allergy testing on the IMMULITE® platform provides
laboratories with unparalleled flexibility in terms of
work-flow capabilities. Depending on the needs of
your laboratory – allergy can be run alongside your
routine immunoassays either on a stand alone
instrument or fully integrated on a track system
(
ADVIA WorkCell® or ADVIA LabCell® systems).
There are already several customers in the Nordic
countries that are running allergy as part of their
fully automated processes.
