The planning and preparations for LabMed 2010 are
in good progress. The First Announcement of the
congress, as well as the information-package to spon-
sors and exhibitors, will be available in a short while,
both as brochures and on the home page.
The Scientific Committee are actively working
with the scientific program and some sessions are
already taking shape or are in preparation, such as:
• Diseases related to iron metabolism
• Dementia and neurodegenerative diseases

• Use of circulating RNA and DNA in clinical
diagnostics
• Mitochondrial diseases
• Screening of the newborn

• Diagnosis and handling of sepsis and other serious
infections
• The use of trace elements in clinical medicine
• Procedures for validation of new methods
The program will be organized in plenary lectures
and parallel sessions including symposia, workshops
and selected abstracts for oral presentations.
